Help us highlight the abundant and unique beauty present in Weld County with a photo contest that lets you show off your best shots of this region of Colorado. Seasoned veterans and causal photographers are welcome! Everyone has the opportunity to showcase their photos and win incredible prizes. Get your cameras out or dig through some of your favorites from 2016 and submit your photos here for a chance to win!

How does it work?
Photo entries will be accepted December 12, 2016 – January 15, 2016. Voting will take place January 16, 2016 – January 23, 2016.

Is there a fee to participate?
Yes. Participants are allowed to enter up to four (4) photos for a $10 fee. Fees can be paid on the Submission page. If a submission is made without an entry fee, those submissions will not appear in the gallery until the fee is paid.

Does the photo have to be taken in Weld County?
Yes. This contest celebrates the beauty of Weld County from its landscapes to its people, so every photo must be taken within Weld.

Why isn't my photo showing up on the voting page?
There are two possibilities:

1. The photo didn't meet the criteria of the contest. All photos must be taken between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2016, and photo editing is limited to minor color correction.

2. If the photo was in the "color photography" category, it may not have made the judges' first cut. Because of the number of photos submitted in that category, judges limit the number of photos that advance to the voting round. If you feel your photo was removed in error, please email mlee@greeleytribune.com.

Can I use Photoshop or another photo editing program on my photo before I submit it?
Yes and no. We will accept a photo that has been cropped in Photoshop or another photo editing program. We also allow slight color correction. Basically, we want to see your photos as close to how they looked right when you captured them. If anything is added to or taken away from a photo through a photo editing program, it is not allowed in this contest.
